Offshore Thrills: Barracuda, Tunny & Mahi Await in Palm Beach

What a day we had out on the water with Rachel and their crew! We kicked off our 4 Hour Fishing Adventure bright and early at 7:30 am from Riviera Beach City Marina. June in West Palm Beach is prime time for offshore fishing, with warm waters bringing in a variety of game fish. The weather was a bit tricky, partly cloudy with a chance of storms, but that didn't dampen our spirits one bit. The water looked great, which had us all excited for what we might catch.

We headed out and got right to it, mixing up our techniques to see what would work best. We started with some trolling, then switched to deep dropping, and even tried our hand at kite fishing. It wasn't long before we got our first hit - a Great Barracuda that put up quite a fight! Measuring in at 21 inches, it was a solid catch to start the day. As we moved along, we hooked into a Little Tunny. At 19 inches, it gave us a good run for our money. But the real highlight came when we landed a beautiful Mahi Mahi, also known as Common Dolphinfish. Though it was on the smaller side at 15 inches, it was still a thrill to bring aboard.

Throughout the trip, we kept changing spots and tactics to keep the action going. The partly cloudy sky actually worked in our favor, keeping things cool while we fished. Rachel and their crew were great sports, always ready for the next cast or to reel in whatever decided to bite. We shared some laughs, swapped a few fishing stories, and just had an all-around good time out there on the open water.
